Getting Started
How do I install Fluxley?
Visit the Shopify App Store, find Fluxley, and click 'Add app'. Once installed, Fluxley will guide you through connecting to your store and setting up your discount limits. The whole process takes about 5 minutes.
What Shopify plans is Fluxley compatible with?
Fluxley works with all Shopify plans, including Basic, Shopify, Advanced, and Plus. It also works with development stores for testing.
Do I need to edit my theme code?
No! Fluxley adds a block to your theme editor that you can place wherever you want on your product pages. No code required - just drag and drop in the theme customizer.
Can I test Fluxley before going live?
Absolutely. If you have a Shopify development store, Fluxley runs in demo mode with no real charges. You can test the full negotiation experience before launching on your production store.
How It Works
How does the AI negotiation work?
When a customer clicks 'Negotiate Price', they enter a chat with our AI. The AI understands natural language, responds conversationally, and works to find a discount that satisfies the customer while staying within your preset limits.
Can the AI go beyond my discount limits?
Never. The discount code generation is handled by code, not the AI - so even if the AI behaves unexpectedly, discounts beyond your limits are impossible. The code simply won't allow it.
What happens when a deal is reached?
When the customer and AI agree on a price, Fluxley automatically generates a unique, single-use discount code. The customer can immediately apply this code to their cart and complete their purchase.
Does Fluxley work with product variants?
Yes! Fluxley works seamlessly with product variants. Whether your product has different sizes, colors, or other options, customers can negotiate on any variant. The discount applies to whichever variant they're viewing.
Customization
Can I set different discount limits for different products?
Yes! You can set a global default discount range (e.g., 0-10% off) and then override it for specific products. For example, you might allow higher discounts on clearance items or lower discounts on new arrivals.
Can I disable negotiation for certain products?
Absolutely. You can enable or disable Fluxley on a per-product basis. Products where negotiation is disabled won't show the 'Negotiate Price' button.
Can I customize how the AI negotiates?
The AI's negotiation style is optimized to be friendly, professional, and effective. While you can't change the AI's personality, you control the key factor - the discount limits it operates within.
Pricing & Billing
How much does Fluxley cost?
Fluxley is free to install with no monthly fees. We charge a 4% commission only on sales that Fluxley helps facilitate.
What counts as a 'Fluxley-facilitated sale'?
Any order that uses a discount code generated through a Fluxley negotiation. If a customer negotiates a discount but never uses the code, you're not charged.
How does billing work?
Fluxley uses Shopify's built-in billing system. Commissions are calculated and charged every 30 days through your regular Shopify invoice. No separate payment method needed.
Is there a refund policy?
If a customer who used a Fluxley discount returns their order and you process a refund, the commission for that order will be credited back to you in your next billing cycle.
Security & Privacy
Is customer data safe?
Yes. Fluxley only accesses the minimum data needed to function - product information, discount codes, and order data for billing. We don't store sensitive customer information and all data is encrypted in transit.
What permissions does Fluxley need?
Fluxley needs access to: read products (to know what's being negotiated), create discount codes (for deals), read orders (for commission calculation), and read/write metafields (to store settings). We don't access customer payment information.
What if the AI gets jailbroken or manipulated?
The discount code generation is handled by code, not the AI. Even if someone manipulates the AI into saying something weird, the actual discount is enforced programmatically. It's impossible to get a discount beyond your limits - the code simply won't allow it.
